Greg is a recognized and well-respected leader in the parking industry. He has played a major role in over 200 projects spanning many years and many localities, both urban and suburban. His extensive expertise in parking systems management, functional design, project planning and execution is well known throughout the industry.
He began his successful management career in 1978 with Central Parking System of Nashville, a national parking company with almost 3,900 parking facilities. As the Assistant General Manager in Louisville, Kentucky, he managed three parking facilities and 20 surface lots. When he was promoted to General Manager of the Cincinnati, Ohio office, he oversaw the design, construction and operation of a 530 space parking garage serving a 375,000 square foot multi-use office building.
In 1980, he joined Colonial Parking, Inc. of Allentown, Pennsylvania. As Senior Vice President, he managed all of the firm’s parking operations in the city, including the Sacred Heart Hospital Parking Garage, the 451 Medical Building Parking Garage and seven surface lots.
In 1988, Greg formed Landmark Parking, Inc., where his business now includes development, marketing, management and feasibility studies for clients throughout the Baltimore and Washington Metropolitan region, including greater Maryland, Virginia and beyond. As President of Landmark, he has played an instrumental role in the outstanding successes enjoyed by the company and its staff over the past two decades.
His insistence on quality control, his efforts to establish the industry’s highest level of accountability and the customer-comes-first philosophy he’s instilled in every employee have helped Landmark grow from a single facility in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor to a major competitor in the parking management industry in the mid-Atlantic region.
Greg Hatfield is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Parking Association and a member of both the Baltimore and Washington Parking Associations.
